Your trusted family physio in St George
Ready Steady Therapy is a mobile physiotherapy service available throughout St George, Sydney. Our passionate team believes that kids’ physiotherapy should be fun and entertaining — it shouldn’t be a chore or a stressful part of your child’s weekly routine. Plus, we find that children thrive and learn in an environment that’s natural and familiar to them, which is why we bring our play-based services to you!
We can complete our sessions at home, at school or preschool, at the local pool or even at the park. Wherever your child feels safe, comfortable and confident, we’ll tailor our services to their environment.
Our physiotherapists take a holistic approach to children’s therapy, meaning we collaborate with families and children to create a personalised program targeted at kicking your child’s developmental goals. We’ll create play-based activities that improve childhood development, skill acquisition and functional independence, and can even be completed on those off days without physiotherapy.

Frequently asked questions
Our physiotherapy sessions can take place almost anywhere, e.g. at home, at the park, at school, or at the local pool. Wherever your child feels safe and comfortable, we’ll be there to provide our services.
Don’t stress if you have limited space at home. All we need is an area that’s been cleared of obstacles so your child can at least lie down on the floor and roll over a few times during activities. If we find insufficient space after our first session, we can always do our next session somewhere else, e.g. in the park or at a grandparents’ house.
Physiotherapy is not usually covered by Medicare, but it is available if your child has a chronic health condition under the Chronic Disease Management plan. This plan offers up to five eligible allied health sessions per calendar year.
You may also be able to cover your child’s physio sessions with your private health fund if you have physiotherapy coverage under your extras.
We also accept NDIS funding for children with developmental delays and disabilities. NOTE: we cannot provide services to children whose plans are NDA managed. We can, however, provide services for plan-managed or self-managed NDIS plans.
After our initial pre-consultation, we will send you a quick questionnaire to complete. This will provide us with a focus for our first session and tell us what to assess in relation to your child’s skills and condition.
You can also prepare in these ways:
- Have any relevant medical documents and your child’s NDIS plan (if applicable) ready to review.
- Write a list of questions for our physios in St George, in case anything is missed in our first session.
- Clear a space at home for the session. It doesn’t have to be big — we just need enough space to do activities without obstacles.
- Keep pets out of the way during the session. Even the friendliest pets can get stressed during a physio session.
- Dress your child in loose, comfortable clothing they can move around in.
About Ready Steady Therapy
Ready Steady Therapy was established in 2018 by our senior paediatric physiotherapist, Hannah Coghill.
Hannah saw a serious need for mobile physiotherapy for kids in Sydney, where kids can learn and thrive in their homes or anywhere that’s natural, safe and comfortable for them. With this in mind, she started Ready Steady Therapy — a family-centred, mobile physiotherapy service.
Our team works on five fundamental values:
- Fun: We create engaging, entertaining activities to make physiotherapy fun, even when it’s a tough session!
- Family-oriented: We collaborate with families and create personalised programs to help their children succeed.
- Functional independence: We believe all children can be independent, so we always look for ways for independence to grow.
- Familiarity: We bring therapy into your child’s natural environment, so they feel safe and relaxed during our sessions. We also find integrating physio into your child’s weekly routine can be very effective!
- Focused: We focus on achievable or existing goals that are important to you and your little one.
