Moving sideways along surfaces is called cruising and is a stepping stone to independent walking. Most babies will naturally cruise along surfaces that are stable however some can find cruising a little tricky and need a little help to get moving.
Once your baby has started to crawl you’ll probably notice that they have started to kneel up onto different surfaces, you’ve probably had to push phones and cups further onto tables out of the way of little hands! Here are some top tips for encouraging kneeling.
